About Us & Club History

Haverhill Scooter Club meets at The Rose & Crown Hotel on Withersfield Rd on the first Monday of every month. The club is open to anyone with an interest in scooters or just the era of the Mods. We enjoy everyone’s company on ride outs and invite you all to attend our regular social events which continue to grow in popularity. We have recently attracted top bands such as DC Fontana, Big 10, the Kounterfeit Kinks, The Most and many more. See the ‘Events’ pages for more details of upcoming events and past successes.

In 1982 Circles Scooter Club was formed in Haverhill, Suffolk.

In the beginning, meetings were held at members homes and later progressed to dedicated town hall meeting rooms.  It was from here that many great nights out were arranged.

The club sadly died out in the mid 80’s but has recently been reformed in 2007 by some of the original members and many new faces.  Since then the popularity of scooters and scootering in Haverhill has gone from strength to strength. We now have over twenty members supporting the club, including some of the original members from the A604 Arrows scooter club from the late 70′s.  We meet every month to discuss events, socials and ride outs.  Weather permitting we also try to have a ride out as well.

Following the expansion, many members wished to start holding the social nights again too.  We have now held numerous social events which have all been great successes and the popularity of these is also growing with the rumours circulating about how good they are.  For more information on our past events and for upcoming great nights out for everyone (not just Scooter Club Members), Keep checking the events pages in top  menu bar of this website.

This is our new fully interactive website which is the latest expansion to the club.  We are now able to advertise events, ride outs and make new friends with other clubs.  The message boards will hopefully become the social hub for all scooter clubs in the local area and further afield looking to discuss scootering issues from problems with scooters, national events such as Mersea, upcoming events and anything else you care to think of.  Feel free to join the forum and have a browse.

Our aim as a club is to enjoy our scootering and make new friends.  New members are always welcome and everyone is invited to enjoy themselves at our social events.

Keep the Faith ……
